Welcome to Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation (VK Foundation), built on the philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One World One Family.” By creating, managing, or donating to a crowdfunding campaign on our platform, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Organization Disclosure

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Foundation (VK Foundation) is a duly registered non-governmental organization committed to humanitarian service, social welfare, healthcare support, and compassionate assistance for families in need.

The Foundation operates with transparency, accountability, ethical fundraising, and lawful compliance.

1. Campaign Eligibility

Crowdfunding campaigns may be created only for genuine medical, humanitarian, social, educational, or emergency causes by beneficiaries, family members, legal guardians, or authorized representatives.

All submitted information, representations, declarations, and documents must be true, accurate, complete, and genuine.

2. Verification Policy

False or misleading information may lead to campaign termination, fund suspension, refund, or legal action.

3. Zero Platform Fee Policy

VK Foundation charges 0% Platform Fee. No commission, profit, or platform fee is deducted from donations.

Only statutory deductions, service charges, mandatory contributions, and payment processing charges may apply.

4. VK Foundation Family Membership Policy

At least one family member or close relative of the beneficiary must obtain a VK Foundation Family Membership before fund disbursement.

Membership Contribution — ₹1,500 per year

This contribution supports:

  • Verification and compliance
  • Family welfare initiatives
  • Emergency humanitarian assistance
  • Technology and communication infrastructure
  • Community support and awareness programs

5. Charges & Deductions

Pranami Contribution to Satsang, Deoghar for the patient’s well-being

5.A Financial Compliance & AML Review

VK Foundation reserves the right to review, flag, delay, restrict, or report suspicious donations, transactions, payment patterns, or fund transfers for fraud prevention, anti-money laundering compliance, risk management, or regulatory obligations.

6. Emergency Fundraising & Slab-Based Disbursement

In medical emergencies, VK Foundation may begin fundraising immediately based on preliminary documents to avoid treatment delays.

Disbursement Slab: ₹10,000 per slab

Once the first slab is reached, preparation of fund disbursement may begin in good faith.

Final disbursement remains subject to successful verification and approval.

7. Fund Usage

Funds raised must be used strictly for the declared purpose.

8. Refund Policy

Donations are generally non-refundable.

Refunds may be considered only in cases of duplicate payment, failed transaction, fraud, or technical payment errors.

Campaign Cancellation

VK Foundation reserves the right to cancel, pause, or permanently close any campaign due to policy violation, fraudulent activity, beneficiary request, legal compliance requirements, or other circumstances deemed necessary for donor protection and platform integrity.

10. No Guaranteed Fundraising

VK Foundation does not guarantee that any campaign will achieve its target amount or receive a minimum level of donations.

11. Disbursement Hold Rights

VK Foundation may temporarily hold, delay, or suspend disbursement for additional verification, compliance review, or legal checks.

11.A Identity Verification & Authorized Communication

VK Foundation reserves the right to verify the identity, authority, and communication authenticity of any individual acting on behalf of a beneficiary. In case of identity mismatch, conflicting communication, unauthorized representation, or inability to verify authority, VK Foundation may: Pause campaign visibility Hold fund disbursement Request fresh authorization or declaration Restrict access to confidential records Initiate compliance review Confidential records may be withheld, redacted, partially disclosed, or fully restricted at the sole discretion of VK Foundation.

11.B Consent & Authorization Validity

VK Foundation may initiate, publish, or continue a campaign based on written, verbal, digital, electronic, WhatsApp, email, declaration-based, or other reasonably verifiable consent received from the beneficiary, guardian, family member, legal representative, or authorized person acting in good faith.

Any authorization, declaration, consent letter, communication record, digital message, or supporting instruction received and reasonably relied upon by VK Foundation shall be deemed sufficient for campaign initiation unless proven fraudulent or invalid through satisfactory evidence.

Subsequent disputes, disagreements, or revocation of consent among family members, guardians, or representatives shall not automatically invalidate prior authorization already relied upon by VK Foundation.

11.C Public Domain Information Reliance

VK Foundation may rely upon medical records, campaign information, beneficiary details, supporting documents, images, videos, or public communications that are voluntarily made available in the public domain, including social media, messaging platforms, public appeals, hospital references, or community circulation.

Where sufficient preliminary verification is possible through publicly available records, VK Foundation may not require duplicate submission of the same documents from the beneficiary or representative.

11.D Beneficiary / Family Dispute Protection

In the event of disputes, conflicting instructions, objections, claims, or disagreements among beneficiaries, parents, guardians, family members, representatives, or authorized persons regarding campaign ownership, campaign management, fund utilization, or fund disbursement, VK Foundation reserves the sole right to pause, restrict, suspend, or terminate campaign operations and/or disbursement until the dispute is resolved to the satisfaction of VK Foundation.

11.E Reverification Rights

VK Foundation reserves the right to request fresh documents, updated authorization, revised declarations, hospital records, beneficiary confirmation, or additional compliance documents at any stage before or after campaign publication or fund disbursement.

11.F Disbursement Recipient Determination

VK Foundation reserves the sole right to determine the appropriate beneficiary account, hospital account, guardian account, vendor account, or authorized recipient for fund disbursement based on verification, compliance, supporting records, risk assessment, and fund utilization requirements.

VK Foundation may disburse funds directly to hospitals, pharmacies, diagnostic centers, healthcare institutions, service providers, or other approved entities whenever deemed necessary for beneficiary protection, treatment continuity, and fund utilization integrity.

VK Foundation may, at its sole discretion, directly settle medical bills or treatment-related expenses with hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmacies, diagnostic institutions, or vendors instead of transferring funds to individuals.

The decision of VK Foundation regarding selection of the disbursement recipient, mode of disbursement, timing of disbursement, and supporting compliance requirements shall be final and binding unless otherwise required by applicable law, regulatory authority, or competent court order.

11.G Good Faith Emergency Campaign Initiation

VK Foundation may initiate, publish, or continue a campaign in good faith based on preliminary verification where immediate fundraising is necessary to prevent medical hardship, treatment delay, or humanitarian urgency. Such campaign publication shall not constitute final approval of fund disbursement eligibility.

12. Unused Funds Policy

Unused funds may be:

  • Used for continued treatment
  • Redirected to another approved cause
  • Donated toward welfare initiatives

13. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information and documents may be collected, stored, processed, and used for verification, compliance, fund disbursement, and legal obligations.

Cookies & Analytics

VK Foundation may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to improve platform performance, user experience, security, and service quality.

Third-Party Services

VK Foundation may share limited information with payment gateways, banking partners, verification agencies, and service providers only to the extent necessary for payment processing, compliance, and operational support.

Data Retention

User information and documents may be retained for as long as required under legal, regulatory, audit, compliance, or operational requirements.

13.A Confidential Records & Restricted Disclosure

Authorization letters, declarations, identity documents, internal verification notes, compliance records, beneficiary KYC records, and sensitive communications maintained by VK Foundation shall constitute confidential internal records.

Such records shall not be disclosed, copied, circulated, or shared with any third party, family member, representative, or requester unless VK Foundation, in its sole discretion, determines that adequate identity verification, authority validation, legal necessity, or regulatory obligation has been established.

Internal investigation reports, risk assessments, legal opinions, compliance observations, audit findings, and verification conclusions shall remain privileged and confidential internal documents of VK Foundation and shall not be subject to disclosure except where required by applicable law, regulatory authority, or competent court order.

VK Foundation may collect additional sensitive identification details, including physical identification marks, solely for beneficiary verification, fraud prevention, compliance review, and internal audit purposes. Such information shall remain confidential and shall not be publicly disclosed except where required by law or regulatory authority.

14. Content Moderation Rights

VK Foundation may remove, edit, restrict, or reject any campaign content, images, videos, or documents that are misleading, inappropriate, unlawful, or harmful to donor trust.

14.A Harassment, Misuse & Defamation

Any attempt to misuse the platform, intimidate staff, provide misleading statements, publish defamatory allegations, or obstruct verification or compliance processes may result in suspension, legal review, campaign termination, or other protective action.

15. Communication Consent

Users consent to receive campaign updates, receipts, support communications, and notices via phone, SMS, email, WhatsApp, or digital channels.

16. Tax Benefit

Eligible donations may qualify for tax benefits under Section 80G subject to applicable laws and valid donor details.

17. Limitation of Liability

VK Foundation acts solely as a crowdfunding facilitator and does not guarantee campaign success, treatment outcomes, or third-party payment availability.

17.A No Agency Relationship

Nothing contained in this platform or these Terms shall create any partnership, agency, fiduciary, employment, or legal representative relationship between VK Foundation and any beneficiary, donor, campaign organizer, guardian, or representative.

17.B Indemnity

Campaign organizers, beneficiaries, guardians, representatives, and users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VK Foundation, its trustees, officers, volunteers, employees, and representatives against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, legal costs, disputes, or expenses arising from false information, misrepresentation, unauthorized campaigns, misuse of funds, or breach of these Terms.

18. No Waiver

Failure, delay, omission, or partial exercise by VK Foundation in exercising any right, power, remedy, discretion, or protection available under these Terms & Conditions shall not operate as a waiver of such right, power, remedy, discretion, or protection, nor shall any single or partial exercise prevent further exercise of the same or any other right under these Terms.

19. Force Majeure

VK Foundation shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, service failures, disbursement delays, or inability to perform obligations caused directly or indirectly by banking failures, payment gateway disruption, cyber incidents, hacking attempts, server outages, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, regulatory actions, strikes, civil unrest, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of VK Foundation.

20. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts.

21. Policy Updates

VK Foundation reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

22. Campaign Closure Policy

A campaign may be closed, paused, archived, or terminated upon achievement of campaign objective, beneficiary request, treatment completion, prolonged inactivity, policy violation, or any circumstance deemed necessary by VK Foundation.

22.A Exit Clause

VK Foundation reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, pause, archive, terminate, or permanently exit any campaign from the platform at any stage where continued operation is considered unsuitable, non-compliant, risky, or contrary to donor protection, beneficiary welfare, platform integrity, legal requirements, or organizational policy.

In the event of discrepancy, conflicting claims, identity mismatch, disputed authorization, suspected misrepresentation, document deficiency, compliance concern, non-cooperation, or any clarification requirement, VK Foundation may issue a notice seeking clarification or supporting records.

The beneficiary, guardian, campaign creator, or authorized representative shall provide satisfactory clarification and supporting information within 72 hours from the time such communication is issued, unless an extended timeline is expressly granted in writing by VK Foundation.

Failure to provide satisfactory clarification within the stipulated period, or continued unresolved discrepancy, may result in immediate campaign exit, campaign closure, fund disbursement hold, refund processing, restricted access, or other protective measures deemed necessary by VK Foundation without further notice.

The decision of VK Foundation regarding campaign exit, suspension, closure, or continuation shall be final and binding in the interest of compliance, transparency, donor protection, and platform integrity.

23. Change in Beneficiary Condition

The beneficiary’s family or representative must promptly inform VK Foundation regarding significant changes in the beneficiary’s medical condition, including recovery, treatment completion, transfer, or unfortunate demise. VK Foundation may review, pause, modify, or close the campaign accordingly.

24. Dispute Resolution

In case of any dispute arising from the use of this platform, all parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through mutual discussion. Pending such resolution, VK Foundation’s interim compliance, verification, campaign management, and fund hold decisions shall remain binding unless modified by competent legal authority.

25. Declaration

  • All submitted information, representations, declarations, and documents are true, accurate, complete, and genuine
  • All documents, records, authorizations, and supporting materials submitted to VK Foundation are authentic and valid
  • Funds raised through the platform shall be used honestly, responsibly, and strictly for the declared campaign purpose
  • You acknowledge and accept all applicable charges, deductions, policies, verification requirements, and compliance obligations of VK Foundation

26. Consequences of Non-Cooperation or Discrepancy

Failure to provide clarification, supporting information, fresh authorization, cooperation during verification, or the presence of discrepancies, conflicting claims, identity mismatch, disputed representation, misleading statements, suppression of material facts, or incomplete disclosures may result in campaign suspension, disbursement hold, campaign closure, campaign exit, refund processing, legal review, compliance escalation, or other protective actions deemed necessary by VK Foundation.
